BE-terna Reactor Mobile Physical Inventory

Last published: February 6th, 2025

The Reactor Physical Inventory Module allows you to perform inventories efficiently and easily on mobile devices. This includes processing inventory journals and inventory orders. With the scanning functions, users can select bins and items, enter quantities, and make real-time adjustments directly in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, greatly simplifying the inventory process.

Setting up the module

To be able to use the module, you need our Reactor Client and the BE-terna Reactor Platform Core App (AppSource). Please see the help page in the BE-terna Reactor Platform Core App AppSource offering to get and install the client, or contact us if you need assistance.

In order to use the module, please add it from the AppSource to your Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central environment. Now you can customize the app to your needs. To do this, search for the “BE-Mobile Fusion Setup” in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and use the settings in the “Physical Inventory” FastTab.

Physical Inventory Journals

Overview

The Physical Inventory Journals feature allows users to create and manage journal entries for physical inventory counts. This includes scanning warehouse bins and items, counting the quantities, and directly editing the journal lines to reflect the inventory status.

Please note that item tracking is not supported for inventory journals. Other restrictions include the requirement to specify bins and the use of a unique location.

Scanning items with a serial or lot number

If a serial or lot number is required for an item, a further dialog is displayed after scanning the item. A serial or lot number must be entered in order to add the desired quantity for recording.

In to simplify the scanning process for this type of item, the serial or batch number can be entered directly in the barcode, eliminating the need to enter a number in the additional dialog. A regular expression must be defined in the “BE-Mobile Fusion setup” for this purpose:

For this example, barcodes are recognized that contain the article number (group 1) and optionally a serial or lot number (group 2 and 3). An  example would be “1000#SN0001”.

Delete items

Delete scanned items by hitting trash can symbol on the right site in the items list ("Show Scanned Records" must be enabled in the BE-Mobile Fusion Setup).
